Widow’s War comes to Netflix Philippines on April 16th
The murder-mystery drama, produced by GMA Network, will make its highly anticipated debut on Netflix Philippines on April 16. The series promises to captivate audiences with a story full of unexpected twists and turns and intense emotions.Starring renowned Box-Office Queen Bea Alonzo and Primetime Goddess Carla Abellana, Widows’ War tells the story of Samantha (Sam) and Georgina (George), two women who were best friends in the past. However, their lives cross paths again after the tragic loss of their husbands, Paco and Basil.
What begins as a reunion in mourning soon turns into a nightmare when both become suspects in the sudden death of their husbands, putting their reputations and their own sanity at risk.
The cast of Widow’s War is made up of a group of talented actors, including Tonton Gutierrez, Jeric Gonzales, Juancho Triviño, Jackie Lou Blanco, Lito Pimentel, Timmy Cruz, Rita Daniela, Royce Cabrera, Lovely Rivero, James Graham, Charlie Fleming, Matthew Uy and veteran actress Jean Garcia. In addition, Benjamin Alves plays Basil Palacios, George's ambitious husband, while Rafael Rosell plays Paco Palacios, Sam's loving husband.
The series, produced by GMA Entertainment Group, is directed by award-winning filmmakers Zig Dulay and Jerry Lopez-Sineneng. The story is based on an original concept by RJ Nuevas and Ken De Leon, guaranteeing a shocking plot full of surprises.
