Verdiana Bixio is heading to MIPCOM with new projects
Also the owner and CEO received a prestigious award as entrepreneur.Publispei is heading to MIPCOM (Cannes, 16-19 October) with new projects, from the thriller series Sleeping Nymph (6x50’), second season of the series aired on RaI1 Flowers Over The Inferno (6x50’), to a new YA drama Yet We Fall Happy (8x30’) on air October 6 on Rai Play to an erotic Thriller film The Perfect Wife, all based on best-selling novels.
Just as a quick remind, the first season of the series Flowers Over Inferno was broadcast by the Italian pubcaster, last February and achieved an average share of 25% with 4.5mln viewers. The crime thriller is focused on the strong character of profiler Teresa Battaglia, chief officer of the police unit in a small community in the Friulian Dolomites, that was brutally shocked by a serial killer.
Publispei, that is very well known for being the first to bring long-running series in Italy (I Cesaroni, Un Medico in Famiglia, Tutti Pazzi per Amore..), had broadcasted the crime series Redemption on Roku and Channel4. The new course of Publispei includes the production of a feature film and the developing of new international coproduction with US, Canada and UK.
Publispei Owner and CEO, Verdiana Bixio recently received the KPMG Culture, Business and Equity Award-partner of the Women in Cinema Award 2023 with this mention ‘an entrepreneur in the audiovisual sector that invests resources to guarantee the development of the business and its people, demonstrating the ability to include and enhance female talents’.
As far as the Italian outfit has consolidated its expertise in producing dramas for RAI, Mediaset and FOX, Publispei is developing new “glocal” projects that will be soon revealed.
