Studio TF1 unveils new distribution structure as it seek to grow theatrical and international
The distribution operation will continue to be headed up by Rodolphe Buet as Chief Distribution Ofcer of STUDIO TF1 group. Alice Damiani, SVP of International Film Sales, will support Buet in shaping the group's international film distribution strategy.Following its rebrand last month, European media group STUDIO TF1 (formerly Newen Studios) has today outlined the new senior team for its distribution business that will help grow the Group’s global reach and deliver its ambition in international cinema as well as television and digital. The new structure comes into efect from the beginning of April 2025.
The distribution operation will continue to be headed up by Rodolphe Buet as Chief Distribution Ofcer of STUDIO TF1 group. Alice Damiani, SVP of International Film Sales, will support Buet in shaping the group's international film distribution strategy. This aligns with the company’s broader vision to expand its cinema division, led by Nathalie Toulza Madar, with plans to double film production by 2027—targeting 10–15 films per year—and to begin theatrical distribution of its own productions in France from 2026.
In addition to Damiani, Buet will have two other direct reports who will oversee sales activity, which will be split between French-speaking markets (including Canada) and the rest of the world, as the business seeks to bolster its global reach to audiences.
Karine Lejeune takes on responsibility for the former in the newly promoted role of EVP French-speaking TV and Film Distribution. Lejeune and her team will oversee all French speaking territories now including French-speaking Canada and will coordinate the global relationship between the distribution teams and the TF1 group. Karine will also continue to develop the sales of audiovisual and film clips to our clients.
Lejeune’s counterpart is Camille Dupeuble who has been promoted to EVP International TV and Digital Distribution, with responsibility for all international sales and strengthening our strategy with global streamers.
In television, Dupeuble will be supported by Nadia Chevallard, who expands her role as SVP International Sales, to oversee unscripted sales in addition to fiction sales and Karen Wise, who will manage distribution in English-language and German markets as SVP Distribution. She will on top lead our Formats strategy.
On the digital front, STUDIO TF1’s digital division has positioned itself as a key player in digital production over the past few years, working with clients like YouTube, Meta, FAST channels, France tv Slash, and others. To further increase this digital presence and support the development of international IPs, Dupeuble and her teams will continue to deploy a 360° strategy through MCN (Multi-Channel Network) activities while also expanding brand-oriented activities such as brand content and product placement
Karine Atlan continues in her role as EVP Acquisitions and International Co-production, leading STUDIO TF1’s relationship with creatives and production houses and looking for synergies within the wider TF1 Group, as the business focusses on bolstering the development of high-quality IP with global appeal from in-house and third-party producers. Likewise, EVP Marketing Emilie Martel will continue to lead the marketing department to support in-house and third-party producers in the overall creative process.
Commenting on the new distribution structure, Rodolphe Buet, Chief Distribution Ofcer STUDIO TF1 said: 'I’m excited to be able to unveil the senior leadership team of STUDIO TF1’s distribution business. They exude complete professionalism and expertise in their fields and share the same passion and ambitions for STUDIO TF1 that I do. With a wealth of combined experience in distribution across theatrical, television and digital, we are all very much looking forward to supporting the wider business in its next phase of growth and to deliver financial support and guidance to creatives across all parts of our business that will help them do their very best work and to reach audiences all over the world'.
The creation of STUDIO TF1 was announced by the group’s CEO Pierre Branco at the beginning of 2025 as a means of strengthening the Group’s presence in the film landscape, building on existing strengths across various genres and markets and leveraging the global recognition of the TF1 brand, particularly in the U.S.
