Portugal: SIC and SIC Noticias reached new audience records
In the middle of a pandemic due to the expansion of Covid-19, Portugal’s Impresa Group is putting emphasis on the news services on both, its FTA channel, SIC, and Pay TV, SIC Noticias, which are experiencing record-breaking audience shares.This week, Portugal's top-rated FTA channel, SIC, reached record-breaking ratings during its news bulletin, Jornal da Noite, leading with an absolute 28.8% share, in Live + Vosdal.
At the same time, Pay TV channel, SIC Noticias, had the best results since its foundation, in 2001, with a share of 5.3%, in Live + Vosdal.
SIC is concentrating in stopping misinformation and harmful content, while it continues to bring viewers credible information, helpful resources and fact-checking. 'We bring the best news coverage, with reliable data to keep Portuguese citizens around the world informed’, remarked the company in a statement.
