La Chouette Compagnie celebrates its 10th anniversary and announces the creation of Chouette Studio
Chouette Studio produces traditional 2D animation programs for international producers. This year marks a significant milestone for La Chouette Compagnie, as we celebrate a decade of existence. We would like to express our gratitude to our broadcasters, co-producers and financing partners for these ten exceptional years of bringing inspiring projects to life with passion and determination.
Today, we're taking the next step by launching Chouette Studio, with the ambition of sharing our expertise in 2D animation acquired over the last decade with our partners, old and new. It is a structure co-founded with Charles Lefebvre, director and creative director within the company for the past seven years.
The studio's first productions feature Dragon Striker for Disney+ and Dreamland for ADN. In addition, our teams are already working on other exciting projects. We look forward to announcing these new partnerships (on major US and Japanese properties) in 2025.
Mariam Hachmi, CEO of La Chouette Compagnie, says: ‘We're proud of how far we've come in this decade. We're putting a piece back into the machine for another round, this time in the company of our dearest Charles Lefebvre, a brilliant director with exceptional artistic and technical vision. Working with him for many years has been a privilege, and I'm honored that he's joining us for this new step with Chouette Studio’.
Sylvain Dos Santos, CCO of La Chouette Compagnie, comments: ‘Chouette Studio is the result of many years of passionate work from our teams for anime culture and traditional 2D animation. We look forward to sharing our savoir-faire with new partners’.
Charles Lefebvre concludes: ‘After almost a decade with La Chouette Compagnie, it is with immense joy and great honor that I take this new step as a partner. Happy to bring my expertise, I am determined to actively contribute to the growth and influence of our studio. Together, armed with our passion and know-how, let's continue to innovate and create the projects of tomorrow’.
The Chouette team will be in Annecy for MIFA, eager to explore new opportunities for collaboration. We look forward to discovering and developing new projects with partners who share our vision and passion for animation.
