LA Virtual Screenings: making content market richer
LA Virtual Screenings 2022 faces today its last market day, though the platform will be open during two weeks more, for buyers to do more screenings.Fast conclusions? The event has been again a success, though the end of the pandemic. The virtual events are not a bad word, and they can be an easier way to expand content market, in regions and involving complementary businesses.
As we’ve said yesterday, the evolution of LAVS 22 was different from previous VS events. The second week has had more traffic than usual and the LAVS whole figures got upper versus last VS Worldwide (Sept, 2021). LAVS 2022 has been also the record event both in volume of countries (image 1) and APAC, MENA and Africa participation, reaching together 30% of all attending people (image 2).
Image 3 shows the LAVS buyers from inside: they are more digital and regional than ever (first pie) and all decision makers (second pie). So, LAVS 2022 has been a good tool for American and European providers to reach new companies and new territories, easier than travelling or finding them in physical events. Today graphics are not referred to complementary industries, but the last two days we showed how sectors as advertising, technology, gaming, licensing, toys, e-tailers, have used LAVS to get more involved into content arenas.
Image 4 reveals key tips of VS platform usage. The percent of loyal users, that enter again and again to LAVS, is really important, as much as the percent of newcomers, especially during the second week, where the attendees jump took place. Another LAVS record has been the access through cell phones. It grew from 10-15% in previous VS to 25-33% this time. Reasons? More varied people accessed the platform, many from different industries, and the VS cell phone interface has proved to be good.
The Top 15 rankings of booths and contents (image 5) have shown during the whole market how VS helps medium and small providers to expose better their contents, with a system that push buyers to visit more booths and watch more indie contents. All genres, all origins are present, with major, Spanish, Latam and Asian providers sharing the Top 4 contents. All in all, LAVS 2022 has helped content industry to be richer and wider, surpassing physical and exposure stops. Let’s see tomorrow the final wrap up.
