Gigi Santiago-Lara, new Philippine ambassador to the Asian Academy of Creative Arts
The Vice President of GMA Network has been recognised for her outstanding track record and commitment to creative excellence. As Ambassador, she will serve on the AACA Awards jury and contribute to the development of talent in the Asia-Pacific region.Gigi Santiago-Lara, Vice President of Music, Variety, Special and Alternative Productions for GMA Network's Entertainment Group, has been appointed as the Philippine Ambassador to the Asian Academy of Creative Arts (AACA) for the year 2025.
Fiona McKay, Executive Director of AACA, highlighted Santiago-Lara's role as an Elite Member of the organization, stressing that her vast experience and commitment to creative excellence are aligned with AACA's mission to celebrate and elevate Asian creative talent: ‘Gigi Santiago-Lara was accepted by her peers as an Elite Member of the Asian Academy of Creative Arts because of her outstanding professional achievements and contribution to the local industry, so we are delighted to welcome her as a Philippine Ambassador’.
In her new role, Santiago-Lara will serve as a member of the AACA Awards jury and contribute to the Academy's skills development programmes. Her appointment places her alongside other leading media executives from Australia, Thailand, China, Malaysia, India, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Vietnam and Myanmar as part of this prestigious awards body in the Asia-Pacific region.
With a career spanning over 28 years at GMA Network, Santiago-Lara has played a key role in the production of various entertainment formats. Most recently, she has been involved in hit shows such as The Voice Generation, The Clash, Tiktoclock, All-Out Sundays, Farm To Table, the Kapuso Countdown Specials and The Voice Kids.
His appointment reinforces the recognition of Filipino talent in the Asian creative industry and highlights his impact on the entertainment sector.
