Blink49 Studios signs first-look executive producer deal with TV Industry Veteran Pancho Mansfield

Studio Executive’s credits include smash hit series such as A Gentleman in Moscow, Yellowjackets, Sharp Objects, The Rookie, The Recruit and Cruel Summer

Blink49 Studios, a FIFTH SEASON backed company, has inked a multi-year first look executive producer deal with TV industry veteran Pancho Mansfield. Reuniting Mansfield with Blink49’s CEO John Morayniss and Carolyn Newman, Executive Vice President, Global Scripted Television, the deal will see Mansfield collaborating closely with Newman to develop and produce new original projects including a problem-solving procedural with writer and producer Andrew Miller (Percy Jackson and the Olympians).

Prior to partnering with Blink49 Studios, Pancho Mansfield served as President of Global Scripted Programming, Television for Entertainment One (eOne). In this role, he oversaw all aspects of the studio’s original scripted slate on a global scale and managed development and production efforts across eOne’s territories.

During his tenure, the notable shows produced include the adaptation of Amor Towles' bestselling novel A Gentleman in Moscow starring Ewan McGregor (Showtime/Paramount Plus), the Emmy-nominated survival drama Yellowjackets (Showtime), the Emmy-nominated and Golden Globe-winning psychological thriller Sharp Objects (HBO), the long-running hit series The Rookie and its spinoff The Rookie: Feds (ABC), Freeform’s most popular show ever Cruel Summer (Freeform/Hulu), the spy adventure series The Recruit starring Noah Centineo (Netflix), Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Vicky Jones’s romantic thriller series Run (HBO) and procedural drama Deputy starring Stephen Dorff (FOX), among others.

Previously, Mansfield headed his own shingle under a first-look deal with Fox TV Studios, where he set up and produced projects across multiple networks, including Queen of the South and Damien. Earlier in his career, Mansfield served as EVP of Spike TV, SVP of Programming at Fox TV Studios, and SVP of Original Programming at Showtime Networks.

During this 20-year period, he was involved in the development of shows such as the popular serial drama Queer as Folk, the Emmy-nominated Armistead Maupin’s Tales of the City, the Humanitas-winning and Emmy-nominated Hiroshima, the groundbreaking Latino series Resurrection Blvd., Stargate SG-1, and The Outer Limits, to name a few. Born to an adventurous Cuban mother and Red Sox loving father, Pancho was raised overseas in Libya, Ethiopia, Malta, Switzerland, finishing high school in Puerto Rico.  He attended NYU Film School.
