Ampersand announces a news season of its 4K travel collection series Flavors
Ampersand announced that will be completing a new season of 13 episodes of its flagship 4K travel collection Flavors. New destinations include Venice, Egpyt, Vietnam, Provence and Saint Petersburg. In these times with so little travelling allowed, the series will make audience discover usually overcrowded locations under a very different and quieter light. With over 60 4K episodes already produced, Flavors has sold to more than 40 countries around the world and is especially popular with European TV channels such as France 5, TVE in Spain or Canal + in Poland, but also with travel and documentary channels as well as of course all kinds of 4K outlets worldwide.
The concept of Flavors is simple: a landmark destination, the discovery of beautiful landscapes, lifestyles and people to captivate the audience through an informative narration.
Jean Dufour, Ampersand's VP Production & Distribution: 'Flavors was already our best seller as it is a universal concept, featuring destinations on all continents. But in this time of pandemic, we realize that it also fulfills the desire to escape that audiences all over the world are craving for. This colorful collection gets you closer to other cultures, people, and allows you to cross borders when this is not allowed anymore. We are really looking forward to showing our newest episodes, like Flavors Of Saint Petersburg and Flavors Of Vietnam'.
Gilles Thion, Ampersand's President: 'Flavors is one of our key properties, and it was important for us to keep sending our production crews and directors abroad so as to bring the best landscapes of the world to people under lockdown. This was quite a challenge both last year and this year which we are proud to have successfully met thanks to the dedication and versatility of our teams. We have just completed the postproduction of Flavors Of Venice and Flavors Of Egypt and we were very lucky to shoot there when was noone around. Next great destination in line are the Marquesas'.
