Hamori, formerly content and programming director at MTG Viasat Broadcasting for Hungary, Bulgaria and Slovenia, commented: ‘As an ex-buyer, I always faced the difficulties of finding the right concept, which carries the professional edge of the big international formats, but keeps up with the local, very special CEE cultural background and knowledge. We aim to match local knowledge and global service level in the very same time’.
Peter Marschall, owner and founder of Paprika Latino, added: ‘To be successful, we do not only need a great idea, but to find the right, skilled and experienced people in order to deliver success’.
Paprika has delivered a diverse palette of local productions to the CEE markets in the past years. Within 2008–2011, the company has expanded from Romania and Hungary to Slovakia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Austria and Slovenia. Its portfolio includes local versions of popular international titles, such as X Factor, Wife Swap, Beat the Blondes, Supernanny, Farmer Wants a Wife, Desafio, among others, together with some of Paprika’s own creations: Look who's cooking, Mondenii, and Fish on the cake, co-created with TV2, among others.
