Zodiak Kids & Family Distribution Acquires The Game Catchers

Banijay Kids & Family’s distribution division to represent the award-winning Studio Bozzetto and Sphere Media-produced series.

Banijay Kids & Family anunció hoy que su brazo de ventas, Zodiak Kids & Family Distribution , ha adquirido los derechos de distribución de la serie preescolar The Game Catchers . Producida por Studio Bozzetto y Sphere Media , la primera serie se lanzó internacionalmente el año pasado, con una segunda temporada en producción y confirmada con la puesta en servicio de las emisoras RAI Kids , TVOKids  e  ICI Radio-Canada Télé .

Set in a colourful universe, the tiny planet Flossy is home to alien children of all kinds, and the very special Game Catchers HQ. Guided by Mr. Moustache, the kids embark on their mission to travel the universe, and explore the planets, making friends with its inhabitants through playground games at every stop. Each game is different depending on the planet and the Game Catchers want to discover them all!

The Game Catchers won the Pulcinella Award for Best Preschool series at the 25th edition of Cartoons on the Bay and the Preschool Award by the Italian Parents Movement (Moige) which recognises family-friendly TV and web programmes. The series is directed by Andrea Bozzetto and Branko Rakic.

Corrado Colleoni is the Art Director. Season 1 (52 x 7’) launched with commissioning broadcasters RAI Yoyo and ICI Radio-Canada Telé. It was also acquired by Wing Sight (China), Ceska Televize (Czechia), RTÉ (Ireland), CBeebies (UK), TVOKids, The Knowledge Network and Toon-a-Vision (Canada), YLE (Finland), Canal Panda (Spain and Portugal), MediaCorp (Singapore), PCCW (Hong Kong) and Momokids (Taiwan).
